Protecting little and big fingers from injury has been a mission of ours since we first started out. We’ve been designing, developing, supplying and fitting door finger protection guards for more than two decades as a result, with Fingersafe products found across countless settings all around the globe.

Whether you’re new to the way our designs work or you already have a few fitted, finding the right door safety guard for the application is important. Read on for a brief introduction to each product in our range and become one step closer to sourcing a Fingersafe guard that’s made for you.

MK1A

Our flagship MK1A product is what we started out with. Despite a few tweaks and a more diverse range of colours being made available, it remains our bestselling safety device. Designed with the push side of a standard door frame in mind, this unique, discreet and easy to fit pinch protector keeps fingers safe and out of dangerous door hinges.

It works by blocking access to this essential piece of ironmongery, and is fitted with screws instead of glue for a durable connection that covers and seals the hinge gap completely.

MK1B

If it’s the rear hinge pin of the door you are looking to keep fingers away from, you’ll want to check out our MK1B guard. Covering the entire length of the door, this is fixed to the frame and outside edge to deliver full pinch protection.

It fits comfortably over standard parliament hinges to prevent injuries, and can be added to both external and internal doors. Larger hinge gap openings can also be facilitated thanks to our custom MK1B designs.

MK1C

For bi-fold and flush fitted doors, we have another solution. Our MK1C door finger protection guard has been custom designed especially for this popular door type to ensure a unique fixing strip that ejects fingers every time. It uses a concertina front module to ensure protection, while allowing for the full range of door motion.

Like all our Fingersafe products, our MK1C guards can be fitted in minutes and customised to accommodate larger opening gaps where necessary. Versions of our MK1C guards are also available for standard uPVC doors (push side) and external uPVC or bi-fold doors with larger hinge opening gaps of up to 8in/20cm.

Gatesafe®

We don’t just specialise in making external and internal doors safer and hazard-free, we provide finger protection for gates too. The addition of our Gatesafe® guards however is about more than just an effective, efficient and aesthetically pleasing way to prevent finger and hand injuries as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) details:

“At all times a powered gate must respond in a safe way when any person interacts with it. Its design must take into account that foreseeable interactions may go well beyond normal use (e.g. children playing around or with / on the powered gate), as well as normal wear and tear, and adverse environmental influences, particular wind and rain / snow and other debris that can impair function.”

By law, all powered gates must have some form of protection against finger and hand injuries, and that’s where our Gatesafe® product comes in handy.

Fingersafe Shield

The use of our finger protectors extends beyond the workplace, educational establishments and public buildings. We manufacture pinch guards specifically designed for the home with our products able to protect the full length of a front, push side door. These safety guards cover doors with an opening of up to 90 degrees. They aren’t however suitable for commercial, uPVC or bi-fold doors.

Pivotsafe®

For the same level of reliable and robust protection for pivot or swing doors, our Pivotsafe® guards could provide the answer. This industrial finger guard strap can be used on double or single doors with a 180-degree opening based internally or externally on either the push or pull side. UV and high impact resistance, easy maintenance, and quick and simple installation also come as standard.

Fingersafe® Industrial

Take your door finger protection up a notch with our tough, industrial anti-trapping device.
