06 Apr Door finger pinch protection for wider opening gaps
We were pleased to have received this comment from one of our customers recently after he contacted us for help and were able to recommend that our Fingersafe® MK1A special would be suitable for his doors, which had a wider opening gap, and would offer the door finger pinch protection required.
“Just to say thank you for helping out on the job.
As you can see guards fitted all ok and work as they should.
The fitting instructions are very clear and easy to follow”
He was having problems sourcing any door fingers guards for the internal doors that opened out 180 degrees, as none would fit these doors when fully open.
The build of the doors had large hinges. The finger guards were wanted for the push side of the doors.
He sent us some photos of the doors with the Fingersafe® MK1A (special) extended finger protection guards installed, which he was happy for us to share.

The product he required and fitted was our Door finger pinch protection for doors with wider opening gaps and parliament hinges – Fingersafe® MK1A special.
This finger protection guard is for doors with a maximum opening of up to 21.5cm (8.5 inches).
It is also for use with standard wooden framed doors with parliament hinges (Such as a school kitchen doors)
Doors with parliament hinges are usually dividing doors or french doors and are generally heavy doors, therefore the risk to fingers is significant.
To keep your fingers safe on doors with wider opening gaps and parliament hinges fit an MK1A(special)
