I first saw the Fingersafe door guard at my son's specialist school in the office after he stuck his finger in the bathroom door at home and broke it. In a panic being told there was a 4-5 hour wait for an ambulance I went straight to school where he was bandaged up properly but advised to go hospital. My 7 year old attends a SEMH provision and has autism and no sense of danger. The fact his school has these guards I knew who to call after we returned from hospital. I only wish I had bought them sooner. I made 1 phone call and sent some snaps in and now my house is Fingersafe protected on every door including 2 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, living room and the garden door. Whatever the door Fingersafe have the right guard for you. The service I had from my initial telephone was reassuring and incredible. This company took away all my worries and concerns and genuinely felt my pain. I couldn't recommend Fingersafe highly enough. Personally, these guards should be in every home whether you have a SEN child or not. Until my son broke his finger, I never knew how unsafe my doors were. Delivery was next day. So recently, my friend opened a business, upon helping him kit the place out we looked into safety devices for the heavy doors within the shop. We happened upon Fingersafe and downloaded a fantastic information pack from there website,whilst impressed with what they did both nationally and internationally, were astonished by there quick and efficient service, affordable nature and foresight within there industry, the model purchased wasn't just a safe guard for fingers but also antibacterial which was a fantastic incentive to buy. My daughter had started crawling and poking little fingers everywhere she could; there was just enough gap on the door frame for her small fingers to get trapped and if someone then closed the door even a little bit I hate to think what would have happened; we now have these on every door that she can get to and since they were installed no little fingers have been anywhere near the hinges. As an added bonus now that she is learning to walk these guards also act as protection from door frames when she falls over in her rush to walk around.

Fingersafe is the product to use! It genuinely offers safety and peace of mind where little fingers are concerned. I recently installed one of these units in a Student’s Hall of Residence with doors opening and closing around 500 times per day, so they are definitely for heavy duty purposes. I was appointed as Headteacher of Mildmay Infant and Nursery School in 1994. Having already fitted Fingersafe at my previous school, one of my first tasks was to have Fingersafe fitted here. We fitted a total of 70 units and I am pleased to say that after seven years of constant use we have only had to replace 10 units. The remainder are still working perfectly.
